ILLUSION of HAPPINESS, Youth Exchange in Finland 2019

Our project Illusion of Happiness is approved!

The Youth Exchange will take place in Ahtela -camping center at

August, 3 - 9, and two nights in Turku at August 9 - 11.

Participants are from Finland, Spain, Georgia and Russia. 6 participants and 1 leader per country. Age 16-24 y.o.

Team leaders will be responsible for their group and their needs, and help facilitate whole project by giving advices, coordinating communication between us, project organizers and participants. Before departure to the venue team leader will be responsible to ensure proper thematic, cultural etc. preparation of participants.

 

Each national team (participants) will be responsible for preparing several games and lead few thematic sessions during the project. During the APV meeting group leaders and one participant from each participating country will split tasks/sessions between national teams. Based on task division participants before departure will prepare specific tasks with the support of group leaders. If needed, we can recommend each national team for each session NFE methodology to lead the session (daily schedule to be shared shortly after the info-pack).

 

Why do we do this? Because youth active participation and engagement into leading the project is a best way for exploring new competencies, taking responsibilities as well as for learning and personal growth.

 

We hope to see you in the project well-prepared, positive and motivated to learn and inspire each-other to start making positive transformation in terms of promoting social entrepreneurship and supporting social inclusion of vulnerable groups.

PRACTICALITIES

 

  1. INSURANCE

Personal and medical insurance are the responsibility of the individual participant. We will not be responsible for any loss of luggage, currency or personal effects, or any medical costs.

 

 

It is not required any certification or special skills, just bring your enthusiasm and live the event in its proper and cheerful mood!

We encourage participants to be an active part of this project, embracing responsibility and enjoy the cultural side of this experience!

Discovering dangerous habits (smoking, fast food, computer use, alcohol and etc.) and exploring aspects of healthy lifestyle (eating, sleeping, relaxing, acting and etc.) with the special focus on healthy eating (balanced nutrition). Participants are divided into groups and are given list of food. They should choose food and make acircle  of foods, which are good  to be consumed  on weekly base for balanced nutrition. Followed by discussion.  A video is presented on nutrients for healthy lifestyle. Participants create a list of food with the most rich nutrients. (Non-formal) Spain  
12:00-13:00 Info session: "Stress managemant and mental relaxation" Everyday, youth are influenced by different kind stress caused by so many different things. For young people it can be an even bigger problem as they are not aware of the ways how they can cope with that and using unhealthy ways to reduce the stress(such are smoking, using drugs and etc) This workshop introduce participants to healthy ways of relaxation and recharging (non-formal)
